                       ENTER TO WIN!!!

Irish Echo reports the following:  NAME SEARCH

Irish Ropes Promotions are running a competition to find a catchy name for their March 16, St. Patricks Day Eve Show at M.S.G., that duddy will headline.

"The winner will get 2 ringside tickets," said Eddie McLoughlin, asking for submissions to be emailed to irishropes@email.com

    Ecclesiastes 3

    A Time for Everything
1 There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under heaven:

2 a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,

3 a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,

4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,

5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain,

6 a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,

7 a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,

8 a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.

  • Boxing Vomit

Last night I watched Evander Holyfield fight from Texas. This was one of the worst fights I've seen. If E.H. threw 200 punches the whole fight it was alot. Hardley landed anything. His opponant, which I wont even look up his name, fought a lousey fight as well. Clinching, turning his back on E.H., constantly backing up. I wanted to erase this fight from my memory bank if that were possible. They gave the fight to E.H. after 12 rds of this NON- FIGHTING. How do you train for weeks and then get in the ring and basically do nothing? There should have been a draw awarded to these two for doing nothing. Neither of them deserved to win a "Championship" belt. I've seen better fights in the school yard.

To renew my lost mojo, I think the whole boxing world might be nashing their teeth after that performance, I was gonna gouge my eyes out, I perscribe watching the Duddy/Campas fight, it really works wonders.

The station which aired the fight neglected to show Maureen Shea fight, which would have been 100x better than the E.H. fight. Instead they showed a half hour commercial to buy the E.H. fight. Then they showed the same stupid rap/boxing music video, 3 times they ran this!

Out of respect for Chet, I'm not gonna curse but I want to tell you all how I really feel! BAD FIGHT AND BAD MEDIA AND BAD JUDGING by the officials who would not stop the undercard, when a man was blind in one eye and couldn't see out of the other! With a broken hand to boot! They let the fight go on!!!!!! ARRRGGHHH!!!

                                      ENOUGH SAID!

  • Irish echo filled with tidbits

According to the IrishEcho, there was an Evening with Barry McGuigan and John Duddy tonight for the price of $50.00, tickets plus reception $150.00. I just got wind of it, so it's too late baby. I'll spend the evening at home with family for free.

Also, John Duddy is being honored on Dec.3rd at a ceremony at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. He is the winner of the Rocky Marciano Chanpions' Award by the American Association for the Improvement of Boxing (AAIB)

Andy Lee is making his debut at the Garden, Nov.11 on the Klitschko/Brock undercard. Good luck Andy, hope it's televised.
