John was victorious last night at the garden. In what should be a happy moment there is a sense of disappointment all around. First off, this fight should have been aired live. John last couple fights from Ireland were available over the internet if memory serves me correctly. Not the best medium bet still better than nothing. Then last night H.B.O., instead of showing the Duddy fight, chooses to show a replay off Pavlik/Taylor 2 which everyone knows who won. The main event, Klitsko vs. Ibragamov really sucked so the whole H.B.O. program sucked. Had they shown the Duddy fight, they could have redeemed themselves.
I was not able to attend this Duddy fight because my wife is expecting. John was not happy with his performance, some people on hand booed the decision, the opponent thought from the looks of them both, Duddy lost. Pavlik’s camp is saying because of John’s cuts he won’t get the shot in June. And to top it off, Kellerman and Lampley dissed John during the only shown highlight of the night. Congradulations on the win John, we know you are capable of better things and look forward to see you in a title match.
